Would living in China for 1 month make a large difference?

I have been teaching myself mandarin for 4 months and whilst I also have two hours of private tutoring week, the amount of Chinese I can speak day-to-day is still very limited. I am in a fortunate position where I can work remotely, and I was wondering how beneficial it would be for me to move to go to shanghai for 3-4 weeks, rent an apartment and work out of a co-working space? For those that have spent a short-while in China, how beneficial has it been to your progress? I wouldn't be able to commit to more than 1 month at this stage.
