So I'm a girl, born in 2001, Taiwanese/German mixed and I have dual citizenship. I want to change my legal Taiwanese name, because it's a direct transliteration of my German name (4 characters), confusing, and I just don't like it a lot.
潘 is my mother's last name, 墨 was chosen because it has the beginning "mo" sound from my German name and I don't want the names to be entirely unrelated, and because I like the figurative meanings of literature, art, etc. I just think it's kind of cool.
Now I'm on the lookout for a last character. Mostly I just want something that sounds nice and won't embarrass me.
Some criteria are:
- Simple to write in traditional, since 墨 already has quite a few strokes for my taste.
- First or second tone. I just like how it flows that way.
- Nice meaning, even when coupled with 墨. For example, I was thinking about 嵐, which is pretty in itself, but "ink mist" wasn't as appealing.
Thank you for any ideas and opinions!
