Looking to spend some money. Suggestions

Hello. I recently started learning mandarin and I am wondering if there is a worthwhile premium app or anything online to invest in order to get a solid start on my own. Maybe something that is a must-have? Books included.

I know there are free resources but I am just asking, from your experiences, if you wish you had paid for X when you started.
