Hi all, first time poster and was wondering if you, Chinese enthusiasts/academics, can help me with this dilemma.
We are currently trying to come up with an English translation of the word 俊 that is part of our bub's name. I know the proper pinyin is Jun4 but it doesn't sound exactly like the word 俊, sounds more like "June" to us. The taiwanese Zhuyin ㄐㄩㄣˋ is more precise but there are no english translation of the exact sounding. We thought of Jhin but my parents are not happy with that.
What are your thoughts, or what words sounds closer to 俊?
Thanks in advance!
