Can a western have a Chinese name without it sounding weird?

I've been in Beijing studying Chinese for 4 months and I have been suggested the name 柴尚志 by a friend. I noticed it has a surname and a pretty Chinese-sounding name. If I were to introduce myself as 柴尚志 or just 尚志, would it not sound weird given I'm very western looking? How does that dynamic work? Thanks.
