A polite apology/excuse message to teacher - correct me please!

大家好！Please correct my chinese and translate, if possible, the parts in english where I struggled. Thanks guys!

老师好！ 对不起我没有来上课。是因为我去上课的路上发生了一起车祸。多个车(multiple car crash, one by one in a straight line, dont know how to say it)... 可庆幸的是, 这次车祸无人伤害，但是我的车got damaged(怎么说?)。再说，我得等了car assistance and couldnt make it on time to classes. 再一次对不起。明天见！
