Finding transcripts for Chinese TV shows is nearly impossible and doing it yourself sucks so I found a place that will do the transcripts for me at about 3-5 USD per 20 minute episode.
I plan on getting at least 家有儿女 and 爱情公寓 transcribed because they seem to be pretty good for starter series.
I was wondering if anybody else is interested in getting these done and would be interested in sharing the cost. My idea was that if each person interested contributes a 5 USD "buy in" (to pay for the next episode to be transcribed) we can create a group and share all past and future transcriptions. I'll probably pay to have a few episodes done every month myself, but the more people who are interested and willing to contribute the faster it can be done.
I'm sure that I can get the cost down even further if I do a larger volume of episodes (so far I've done only one but the service is quick and the quality is fine).
I will make SRT files for each episode (for any video files there may be available) and share the text version of transcriptions too, probably on Google Drive and 百度网盘 (for anyone else in China).
Hopefully if there is enough interest we can get 家有儿女 (at least season 1) and 爱情公寓 transcribed and move onto other series. There is a huge void where transcripts of TV shows in Chinese series should be so hopefully we can fill it a little.
