Recommended learning plan/curriculum to improve conversational Chinese?

Hi there, so I've been learning Chinese as a hobby for a while. I started in college and go through the Integrated Chinese curriculum in college. I would say my Chinese level is somewhere between HSK 3 and HSK 4.

I am now hiring a native Chinese tutor for 1.5 hours every Saturday to help me improve my conversational skills. The tutor however is new to teaching (one year of experience) and I don't feel like her teaching plan is well-organized or effective. We basically choose a random topic in each class. She then asks me questions and helps me translate my ideas to Chinese. We notes down the new words and go over them at the end of the class.

As I am now finding a more effective learning plan to improve my conversational Chinese, please recommend any learning plan/curriculum/idea that you think will be effective.
