I've only been learning Mandarin for about 1.5 years now; I'm still in diapers, but I know Japanese so the writing system at least isn't so bad. That said, I think I am almost deep enough now that I need to start thinking about which regional variant is most important to me.
For various reasons, I think that my future with Mandarin lies more in Taipei than in Beijing. But, since Beijing dialect is somewhat baked into standard Mandarin education (你家在哪儿?), it's hard to find really good resources for learning the Taiwanese dialect.
Does anyone have any good recommendations? YouTube channels, podcasts, books, etc. are all appreciated.
