Getting ready for my big move :)

I live in the UK and I recently accepted a job in Hangzhou teaching science and will move there at the end of July

Im really excited however it does mean that I will need to learn to speak and understand Chinese, I don't need to teach in Chinese but I will need enough to get around town and go out for food and other day to day things. Does anyone have some advice for learning Chinese any good apps or websites etc...

I have got myself a Chinese tutor but want to try and do some more between my tutor sessions. I have been told that watching Netflix in Chinese with English subtitles is good but which shows would people recommend ?

I have been using Duolingo some other similar apps but is there an outstanding app that I need to get.

I hope to get some useful advice and would greatly appreciate any help

Thank you

Ryan
