I'm having some trouble understanding 起來 as a grammar point.

Hi. Another grammar question. I came across 起來 in my Chinese textbook, and it was described as "indicating the moment when something static becomes dynamic, that is, signifies the beginning of an action or state".

I think I understand the basic principle, but even looking at the examples in the book that I'm about to post here, it's not connecting with me. Maybe you can help me understand more clearly? Or point to another resource that goes more in depth? I couldn't find one online myself. Also, is an object always placed in between 起 and 來? Thanks.
