Help understanding a sentence I found in my Mandarin Graded Reader book please!(:

你好！我有一个问题。我正在读一个中国的书，和我不了解一个话语。The sentence is: “不过，小朋(that’s the name of the character) 知道，他不可能做真的王子，所以他又想，能见一见真王子就已经很不错了.” I understand the the sentence except for the last part “就已经很不错了”。I understand that “很不错了”means “very good” but why does it say “就”， ”已经” ，and “了” when it could just say “是很不错”?

Any explanation is appreciated (:
