Howdy all,
Throwaway for personal info reasons. So I've been studying and working with Chinese for a few years now. Gimme an op-ed about Chinese economics and I'm good to go. However, Chinese names are still one area that I entirely rely on feedback from native speakers. My wife and I are about to have our first child (a daughter) later this year (super excited!), and she will be learning Mandarin as she grows up (both my wife and I speak fairly "fluently"/conversationally). As such, she will need a Chinese name. Coming from her English name (still a secret, though you can probably figure it out), I was thinking (X)秋花 with X being our family name. How natural is this name, and is it reasonably feminine? Any feedback is welcome. Thanks much!
