I decided to study Mandarin at uni!

I'm currently thinking about degree choices (entering university in 2019) and realised that the course I had previously chosen didn't excite me as much as the prospect of learning Mandarin in any capacity. I'd been self-studying on and off for about a year and decided it had become more than a hobby, and I'd be happier dedicating large amounts of time to the language, and my knowledge of linguistics in general, than anything else. Now I'm looking at degree courses for Chinese with linguistics and I've never been this optimistic about my future! I thought I'd share this here as this community really helped to develop my interest.
