I've read the sidebar for resources etc, but can't decide whether its better to build a vocabulary out of pinyin (with little understanding of the characters), or to start with the fundamentals of traditional or simplified. Similarly, if anyone can direct me towards Traditional character resources for beginners, that would be much appreciated. Happy learning!
