Question about naming conventions

I'm trying to come up with a name for a Chinese American character in a story. More specifically, I'm trying to reimagine Jubilee of the X-Men, whose first name is literally "Jubilation" in the comics. So first I looked up baby names to see if there was a direct translation, and when that came up empty I punched a few permutations of "Jubilee" into English to Chinese translator. Xīqíng, "Jubilant." Perfect. Except, I wanted to see if that's actually a way that Chinese parents would come up with a name, and if it was to make sure it was an okay name for a female. Am I in the ballpark?
