Journaling in Chinese?

I've come across a couple posts that suggest journaling as a good method to practise a foreign language. This article was citing Korean, which makes sense since in Korean even beginners can write in Hangul, but it got me wondering...what options are there for Chinese?

Do you, after a certain point, have a good enough grasp to be able to journal in Chinese, or is it just something that isn't done? Or if it is, is it done on a computer vs writing it down?

Also, do any of you guys write in journals or anything in Chinese? Just curious.

Thank you!
