Is this sentence grammatically correct? 这个男孩子没在开车

这个男孩子没在开车。I ask, because my reading in the chinese grammar wikis states that one should always negate 在 with 不, but there's a very popular language learning platform out there that consistently uses setentences in the form above. So, is this correct?
