How do I address someone using her first name in a friendly way? [Read post for more info]

So there is this Chinese girl, we're sort of friends, maybe a bit more but we're not officially dating. Still, I want to address her using her name sometimes, but I'm not sure how that would sound... Is it too formal? We usually speak English, sometimes small Japanese. In Japanese you could add -chan. E.g. her name starts with "Yi" so I could call her "Yi-chan". Is there something similar in Chinese? Or a way to call such a close person to you?
