Here are three different ways to say "button" (each with different meanings)

Niche post, but useful. I just realized this recently.

纽扣(钮扣)= button on an article of clothing

按钮 = digital button (e.g. the 'compose' button in your email's inbox)

按键 = physical button or key (e.g. button to open the garage door, key on a keyboard, key on a wind instrument)
