I joined a Chinese Class two years ago and my Chinese teacher gave everyone Chinese names. My English name is Lourienne (pronounced Lo-rain) and she translated it to 兰恩. She told me it meant orchid, elegance, and kindness. She gave all her kids Chinese names so I don't know how much thought was actually put into my name. She knew me for a month or two before giving the name so I'm hoping more thought was put into it. I recently read articles and posts about how Chinese names are harder to come up with than thought so I just want more people's opinion on my name. However, if there are more suitable and better-sounding names for me, then I'd be happy to know :) Thanks in advance!
