A question about adjs vs verbs and 得

I know that chinese adjectives are actually verbs (hence 我很好)

And I’ve been trying to figure out why you can’t just say “我好說中文” and must say 我說中文說得很好? (or 我中文說得很好). Does it have to do with adjectives being verbs? And thats why you can’t just shove hao in front of shuo?

And what’s the diff between 我常常練習說中文 & 我說中文說得常常?

And is it the difference between the first comparison and my second comparison that 好 is an adjective (actually a verb) and 常常 is an adverb?

Trying to figure out how it’s all connected... (or not)
