Want to read a chinese novel

As the title says I want to read a chinese novel but I have no knowledge in chinese whatsoever

The novel is the following: 穿越未来之男人不好当(link to english description site)

It is partially translated to english already but only to around 20% of the chapters and I have read them all already but I dont really want to wait for the translation to catch up

So what do you guys think is the best approach? Learn chinese or torture myself with google translate or similar services

What are the best learning plattforms or the best translator websites for chinese to english out there?

My native language is german btw, so going from german to chinese might be a bit easier for me
