Is there a news service, "in simple Chinese" for 外国人?

Many languages (including French and Japanese) have a "simple" news service, presenting the news in relatively easy to understand language (partly to encourage foreigners to improve their ability in the language, and, perhaps, partly for children). e.g.

Is there anything like this for Chinese? Anywhere in the world?

I've never seen anything of the kind… but I imagine that Singapore or Taiwan… MAYBE would have imitated Japan and Korea in this respect?
