Looking for a 5 minute long text I could learn to read/memorize for my course's oral exam

I am a A1 level beginner just starting a course towards A2. We have been told we will have an oral exam in which we should either memorize a text or learn to read and understand it (for less points). We can sing if we want, have a presentation, doesn't matter, it only has to last for 5 minutes.

The problem is, I can find lots of interesting topics to talk to or texts to memorize, but in English. Searching for them in Chinese is at this point almost impossible for me ... and finding something in English and then translating it is equally impossible (I mean I could, but I wouldn't know how it sounded).

So I was hoping I could get some help here.

What I need is either a short story written in Chinese characters, or some short history lesson. It would be best if there was a video of it being spoken, so I can learn the diction.

Something interesting or humorous, something simple.
