Does this phrase make sense in Chinese

如果我这样说，意大利人可能会杀了我...

I am trying to say: "Italians would probably kill me if I say this... (but I dont like italian pizza)".

Am I able to use this here? The context is its for my oral exam where a bit of informality is ok. Is this ok to say here? or is there a more sensible alternative?
