How to split a big deal into smaller decks by tag?

Hi, I only have Ankidroid, no computer.

I have one deck with six different chapters, I want to create a different deck with just the cards tagged for chapter one, then eventually add the cards tagged as chapter 2, and so on.

I see there's a way to create a "custom study" deck but I don't think that's the functionality I want because Ankidroid says those sessions will not be saved for my normal study schedule.

The task seems like it should be simple, but I cannot figure it out with Google or the manual. Please help!
